We run Zoom accent workshops exploring the following accents:

American Dialect Series - General American, Southern, and New York Accents - Tuesday June 11th, 18th, and 25th 5pm-7pm (3 weeks on Zoom, $250).

UK Dialect Series - Traditional RP, Traditional RP, Contemporary RP (NSEA), Estuary/London, and NSEA/Estuary Blend (3 weeks on Zoom, $250). Next class date TBA.

Youth American Accent - Workshop coming soon during a School Holidays!

About Alexandra…

Alexandra Whitham is a voice & dialect coach, theatre director, and university lecturer with over 25 years of international experience in the fields of education, and arts & entertainment. She is currently a Voice Specialist at the Victorian College of Arts (VCA) in Melbourne. Prior to that Alexandra was the Discipline Leader of the BA Acting Degree within the Performing & Screen Arts Program at Te Puukenga/ Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, Aotearoa/ New Zealand. She holds an MA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (UK), and is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher. Her credits as a dialect coach include feature films Pike (31 Films), A Mistake (GFC Films), Joika (Four Knights Films), and 25 April (GFC); TV Shows Our Flag Means Death (HBO Max) and Will (TNT); advertising campaigns for Good Oil/ Cadbury (2021), Xero Accounting Software (2019) and Electric Kiwi (2019-20); and theatre shows The Heartbreak Choir (Auckland Theatre Company), Once (Peach Theatre Company) and Gwen in Purgatory (Twist Productions). Alexandra also runs workshops for communities such as the University of Adelaide Elder Conservatorium of Music, the Auckland Theatre Company, The Actors’ Program, Toi Whakaari, and Equity Australia & NZ. Alexandra is delighted to join the teaching team at Creating Artists!
